Ronnie Castro is a tattoo artist and painter, specializing in black and grey dark/surrealist and realism work with 18 years of tattooing experience in various styles.

Born in San Jose California (1984) raised outside of Cleveland Ohio, Ronnie was interested in tattoos from a young age. Growing up in a place known for bad winters, art and music became a definitive trait in who Ronnie is. While playing in metal bands in the early 2000s, Ronnie was able to design a tattoo for a friend. After receiving very positive feedback on the quality of the design, the life long interest in tattooing seemed more achievable. Finishing his formal apprenticeship in 2004, Ronnie went on to work at some of the most respected and recognized shops in Ohio as well as traveling to work with some of the best artists in the country as a welcomed guest artist and tattoo conventions.

Post quarantine, Ronnie, his wife, and 2 children, decided it was time to pursue their family goal of moving to West Virginia. After making several trips and connecting with right people, he was able to set up shop with one of the city of Huntington most trusted tattoo artists. West End Tattoo Club, has been Ronnie's home for the last 2 and a half years. In this time hes produced some of the highest quality tattoos in the area and has quickly become recognized for his style and quality of tattooing.

While he has received many awards and notable mentions, Ronnie's humble and down to earth attitude really enforces the fact that its about the art for him and it always has been.
